Upon command from the driver, the barrier drops from its vertical, blocking position, to a horizontal position through the force of gravity. This removes the obstacle, allowing the car to drive over MySpot 200. As a wheel of the car rides over the horizontal barrier, the barrier is pushed down an additional couple of inches.This action compresses and cocks a spring which stores the energy until it is needed to raise the barrier.
