The main reason to select the MySpot 200 over the MySpot 200A is for applications where it is desired to leave the barriers down , rather than up, when no car is present.  One such application is for multi-use parking.  During the day it is used by office personnel who want the spaces reserved when they go in and out (lunch, meetings).  In the evening, the spaces are used by visitors to restaurants and movies.  The procedure then is to leave the barrier down when the office personnel leave for the day.  (Some locations use a master remote to drop all the barriers for the night.)

For visitors' parking, the 200A is better suited because the visitors may not have the remote to raise the barriers, nor would they remember or have an incentive to raise the barriers when they leave.  For handicapped parking, the use of the MySpot 200A is highly recommended.
