What happens when the battery runs down?

E-mail Print PDF

When the battery is about 50 activations short of being empty, operation of the barrier will be delayed. Under normal operation, the barrier will respond within one second of activation by the remote control transmitter. When the battery runs down, the response time will slow down to 5 seconds, to alert the user that the batteries need to be replaced.

If the battery is allowed to run down much further, MySpot will respond once to a command to lower the barrier, and then will stop responding altogether until the 5 “D” batteries are replaced. This prevents the barrier from staying in the blocking position when the battery is completely dead.
