The snow, by itself, is not a problem as the units are weather-proof. However, the equipment used to remove snow can damage the barriers, especially if the units are completely buried by the snow. This usually means snow accumulations in excess of 14" (35cm) for he MySpot 200, and larger accumulations for the other barriers.
